Offset surface creation
An initial surface is given, given by the "createmesh" function, which forms a
network with nodes.
Dyou want to create an offset surface, offset by an amount h from the initial.
The direction of displacement surface epends on the sign of h.
Sequence of calculation:
1.Restoring the normal from the nodal points of the initial surface and we get
the nodal points of the displaced surface.
2.We connect the resulting node points
The image is built on three-dimensional graphics and can be rotated with the mouse

Hi. Thanis Ber. A slightly different version, using only parametric functions.

Converting Surfaces to Solids
The solid is formed from the initial surface, the offset surface, and the
lateral surface that connects them. The lateral surface is formed by normals
reconstructed from the boundary nodal points of the initial surface.

Thanks ► Fridel, Alvaro
I don't have the courage to convert SS 6179 ... OK.
Keep up ... Jean.

WroteConverting Surfaces to Solids
Hi Fridel. Thanks, great job. In the attached an alternate mesh. Its advantage is that it consists of a single coordinate matrix, so it can be manipulated more easily, with translations, rotations and deformations. As disadvantages, it does not look so good and there may sometimes be a wrong line, but I guess only one.

By same token, did you manage constructing Delaunay ?
We had no chance in Mathcad. Cheers ... Jean.
