Numerical Integration - Is it yet possible to do double or triple numeric integrals? - Messages
#1 Posted: 8 months ago
Hello, is it yet possible to do double or triple numeric integrals? Is see much older posts indicating it is not possible, but wondered if in the intervening 10+ years, this has been developed. I was not able to find a plugin that address this. Attached is an example of the type of calculation I am trying to do:
TripleIntegralExample.pdf (102 KiB) downloaded 168 time(s).

Hi Jon. I'm pretty sure that in some previous version SMath can deal with multiple integrals. Now you can use maple or maxima plugins.

triple_int.sm (8 KiB) downloaded 136 time(s).
Best regards.
Alvaro.

Do you know why Maple fails in this example? The Maxima result is correct.

Try another symbol for phi (φ).
The thing is that Maple 6 doesn't support Unicode symbols. That is why only one type of phi symbol was chosen.

They say there is such a symbol. I'll see why I couldn't use it.

MapleTools plugin has been updated and is available in the extension manager.
So now you can use ϑ (vartheta) and ϕ (varphi).
